Stockton-on-Tees, Tees Valley
Great Tees 10k 2018

About

Take part in one of the biggest sporting weekends in the North East in 2019 and take on the Simplyhealth Great Tees 10k as it returns to Tees Valley this September.

In partnership with the Great Run Company the 10k takes place on Saturday 7th September in Stockton ahead of the Great North Run in Newcastle Gateshead on Sunday 8th September.

Head to Stockton's Riverside where there will be something for all the family with the Simplyhealth Junior and Mini Great Tees Run, which offers courses of 2k and 4k that give children aged three to 14 the chance to get involved.

All routes will hug the banks of the Tees, with the 10k route taking in iconic landmarks such as the Infinity Bridge and Newport Bridge.

Stick around after the run to experience the incredible sporting spectacle the Great North CityGames as the games come to Tees Valley for the first time in 2019. The Great North CityGames will be the highlight of an action packed sporting weekend, which sees world-class athletes from around the globe compete alongside the very best of home-grown talent. Taking place in the heart of Stockton's high-street the event attracts crowds of over 25,000.

So whether you’re looking to take on a challenge and strap on your running shoes or if you just want to witness some top athletes in action, make sure you are in Tees Valley this September!
