About

Andy is a playwright, the former Poet Laureate of Middlesbrough and a Part Time Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Teesside University.

The eight writing workshops will cover writing poetry, stories and scripts from research, and written and photographic archive material with a focus on the history of iron and steel. Followed by two performance rehearsal workshops for feedback/sharing with opportunities to perform work at a special cabaret event and during the forthcoming Steel Stories exhibition at the Museum in early 2019.
