An incredible water based experience for all the family - no experience required!

The FlowRider takes in all aspects of board sports. It has the look of surfing, the ride of snowboarding, the tricks of skateboarding, and boards derived from wakeboarding. By generating a thin sheet of water, no more than three inches deep, that flows over a stationary wave, you can carve and turn, ride up and slide down the simulated wave surface.

This is a fun activity for all skill ranges from novice to experts and offers an ideal activity for both children and adults. Redcar & Cleveland Leisure and Community Heart offer activities for:

Birthday Parties

Schools/Youth Groups

Kids after school sessions

Corporate events

Hen/stag groups

Family fun sessions

You won't be expected to have been on a FlowRider before, there aren’t that many around! All sessions are lead by a qualified instructor and the soft membrane ride surface makes the FlowRider a great way to learn to ride in a safe and controlled environment.

This is a very strenuous ride and the moving water is extremely turbulent. You need to be:

A minimum of 1.1m tall to use the Bodyboard and atleast 1.3m tall to use both the Bodyboard and Flowboard

In good physical condition and free from any physical limitations to participate.

Pregnant women and persons with or having a history of heart, back, neck, shoulder or joint problems should not ride.

Remember bathing suit tops, bottoms and loose clothing may be pulled off by the flowing water.
