About

Set in the Roman Village of Piercebridge, The Fox Hole sits almost centrally between the towns of Darlington, Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland and Richmond.

From the welcoming “Wellie” bar through to the relaxed yet elegant dining room and al fresco dining terrace the emphasis is on high quality, carefully sourced food and drink combined with traditional pub values.

Daily deliveries direct to the kitchen and bar from the finest local organic, biodynamic, free-range and artisan producers demand an ever-evolving menu governed by the season.

A warm welcome and friendly service, makes The Fox Hole ideal for a light lunch, delicious three course dinner, traditional Sunday lunch with the family or a pint and homemade sausage rolls.
