Wintertide Festival

Wintertide Festival will once again be burning brightly on Hartlepool’s Headland 24-26 November with a packed programme of art, music and performances along with workshops and an independent maker’s market.

One of the only grassroots residential festivals in the Tees Valley, Wintertide hosts an artistic programme that reflects and celebrates Hartlepool, its people, places, passions, heritage and folklore.

Wintertide’s aim is to bring the historic streets of the Headland to life.  This year, under the theme Ignite, highlights include an incredible giant Build and Burn willow structure by internationally renowned artist Alex Rigg; the Day and Night Art Trail which includes a range of illuminated artworks including two on loan from Durham’s Lumiere; a huge independent Maker’s Market; the illumination of St Hilda’s Church; the much loved Community Lantern Parade and a packed music programme including a headline gig at St Hilda’s Church featuring The Lake Poets.

Facilities

There are public toilets in the Town Square as well as toilets in the Borough Hall for those attending the market or workshops.

The festival takes place in the residential streets of Hartlepool's Headland so please be considerate to residents when parking. There is a car park opposite the Borough Hall.

Food and drink will be available from stalls as well as local cafes and bars.

The Event Office/Information Centre is located at the centre of the event at Borough Hall, Middlegate, TS24 0JD.
