About
The History Wardrobe presents Silk & Roses this Mother’s Day. Gardens have long inspired and beguiled artists, designers and writers. Join dress historian Lucy Adlington for a delightful wander through garden history and floral fashions – featuring feisty botanical explorers, intriguing plant-lore and gorgeous flower-themed stitch craft.
And to finish this lovely event you’ll also be treated to a wonderful afternoon tea in the beautiful Floral Chapel at Hardwick Hall Hotel. Whether you come with family or friends – everyone is most welcome for this lovely afternoon of nostalgia, great food and floral atmosphere!
Tickets are just £26 to include both the event and the afternoon tea. Doors will open from 3pm for a 3:15pm start with the History Wardrobe. The event will last approximately one hour and then afternoon tea will be served after the Silk and Roses event finishes. We’ll also be holding a Mother’s Day raffle with a beautiful gift up for grabs for one lucky attendee.
