About
The Love Norton Advent Trail is an exciting event returning to Norton from Friday 25 November. Come along to Norton Library from 4pm for the illumination of the first Advent window. Then afterwards, join us at St Mary’s Church for coffee and cake!
From 25 November and throughout December, follow the illuminated window trail throughout Norton and discover the advent story. This year’s Advent window theme is ‘caring for the world we live in’ and all of the windows have been made from recycled, upcycled and repurposed materials. The first 7 windows show the creation of the world as told in Genesis chapter 1 of the bible. The next 10 windows celebrate the world we live in and our responsibility towards it. The final 12 windows tell the traditional Christmas story.
To take part in the trail, pick up a map from participating businesses across Norton and mark down the letters found in the Advent windows of each participating business. Hand your completed map into Norton Library by Friday 30 December to be in with the chance of winning a prize. Prizes include 1st £30, 2nd £20 and 3rd £10, plus a number of smaller prizes to be won.
Plus, look out for the bonus window marked with a star. When you find it, pop in and collect yourself a sweet treat.
This year the advent trail is supporting Norton Foodbank and we welcome any donations. All donations can be dropped off at Norton Library.
