Meet reindeer every day at Preston Park Museum from the 26 November – 22 December (we’re closed on Mondays).
We are excited to announce that we will have some very special visitors staying with us in the lead up to Christmas. Come along to the museum and meet our friendly reindeer from the North Pole. You will also be able to purchase reindeer food during your visit for a small charge.
Facilities
Facilities at the museum include a tearoom, Victorian sweet shop, gift shop and toilet facilities.
The museum is accessible with lifts to the upstairs galleries and accessible toilets.
Only assistance dogs are allowed
Opening Times
Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 10am-4pm during school holidays.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday 10am-4pm term time and we are open bank holiday Mondays.
Prices
You will need to purchase a museum ticket or show a valid annual pass to visit the reindeer. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day. During busy times, like weekends and during school holidays, there may be a queue to see the reindeer. See our museum admission prices here:

By Train
Preston Park Museum & Grounds is about a 12 minute walk from Eaglescliffe Railway Station, operated by Northern. Grand Central also run services between Sunderland and London.
By Bus
The museum is on a well serviced bus route with a stop at the entrance to the grounds.
