Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1975 by the late Edwin Raymond and continues to flourish, with talented local musicians playing a variety of major orchestral works in twice-yearly concerts.
Sophie Rosa has performed across the UK as a recitalist in venues including the Royal Festival Hall, the Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place and Bridgewater Hall and has appeared as soloist with orchestras including Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Manchester Camerata. Sophie has broadcast for BBC Radio 3 and has released CDs on Rubicon Classics, Champs Hill and EM Records labels to critical acclaim.
David Greed is one of the orchestra’s principal conductors. He has been leader of Opera North since 1978 and has appeared as a regular soloist both with the Opera North orchestra and with other orchestras throughout the region.
