About
Starring: MC Hayley Ellis, Phil Chapman, Glenn Wool and Alex Stringer.
MC Hayley Ellis brought the house down in Stokesley earlier this year and we’re delighted to welcome her to Saltburn. A regular contributor to Russell Howard’s Good News television programme, Sarah Millican describes her as “Brilliantly funny and a joy to watch”
Phil Chapman is one of the most prolific writers on the circuit, ensuring his material is up to date and the audience get a fresh show every time they see him. His work rate has not gone unnoticed and in the past he’s been invited to write for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack.
A quick wit and a constant turnover material have ensured he has become a highly sought after act and MC. Phil has a wealth of material and sketches available online. Not only a hit on the comedy scene, he’s also a recognised musical artist with his smash hit single Slogans in collaboration with DJ Hans Face Space, which was released to great fanfare during the pandemic.
“A good stage presence, with jokes to match”. Gigglebeats
You may recognise Glenn Wool from numerous TV appearances as on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News and The John Bishop Show on BBC1. He also lent his voice (along with Katherine Ryan) to the BAFTA award-winning Lottie Bearshout: Good as Goaled for Disney XD.
“Effortlessly funny with an affability that other comics can only dream of – You have to go and see Glenn Wool.” The Guardian
