About
Big Mouth is back in the Crypt for its first show of 2022 and with MC Matt Reed at the helm, you know you’re in for a cracking night. The gin guzzling, Jesus lookalike has the most infectious giggle in the business and is a blooming genius at getting the audience involved.
Carey Marx mixes his own blend of dark humour with his mischievous and gleeful delivery. His wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.
Carey has taken numerous critically acclaimed shows to Edinburgh Festival Fringe over the years. His 2013 show Intensive Carey was so successful that it was picked up by BBC Radio 4 in 2015 and developed into a R4 Special.
His first solo show to appear at the Leicester Comedy Festival won a nomination for Best Show, and he was nominated for 2017’s Best Club Comic at the Chortle Awards.
He has made many TV appearances such as The Outcast Comic (Sky Arts) Jack Doherty Show (Channel 5) The Stand Up Show (BBC 1) Comedy Cuts (ITV 2) Comedy Blue and World Stands Up (Paramount)
