About
White water rafting is a fun, fast and unforgettable activity for people of any age and experience. Tees Barrage has a friendly, highly-trained team to help you get to grips with the basics before heading out. Plus they provide you with all the equipment you need to have fun and stay safe on the rapids.
WHY GO WHITE WATER RAFTING AT TEES BARRAGE?
Your group gets its own raft and expert white water rafting guide to help everyone conquer the wild waters ahead. Navigating a network of twists, our course takes you on a water rollercoaster of sudden drops, crashing waves and sharp turns. Your aim? To reach the finishing line without getting soaked! You might even get the chance to run on our extreme course and tackle the biggest artificial drop in the UK!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tees Barrage is home to two international-standard courses, 300 metres of rapid white water, and the steepest drop in the UK. The course is powered by four, 30-tonne Archimedes screws pumping more than 14,000 litres of water every second. A lazyboy conveyor will carry your raft back to the top when you’ve completed the course. So, you can weave, spin, surf, and flip over and over again!
WHO CAN DO WHITE WATER RAFTING AT TEES BARRAGE?
White water rafting is for everyone. It’s the perfect opportunity for exciting corporate and team building days for your staff or colleagues. Plus, we’re close to York, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle, so we’re one of the best venues in the North East to host birthdays or stag and hen parties!
