About
Delightful self-catering, wooden holiday chalet, that sleeps four people in four acres of private and secure woodland. It is located adjacent to a coarse fishing pond, which is well stocked. There is something for all the family at Grewgrass Lodge. The chalets are in the middle of woodland; it regularly sees deer, rabbits, foxes, pheasants and wild duck around our home. You may also see a large variety of wild birds including, finches, robins, wren, sparrowhawk, kestrels and owls. The chalets are secluded and are accessed by a ‘one way in – one way out’ road. The nearest public house is about 1.5 miles away with convenience shops close by. We are approximately 20 miles from historical Whitby, where in nearby Goathland, you can see where the film Harry Potter and the TV series Heartbeat were filmed. For those interested in fishing, we have our own private well-stocked coarse fishing pond, which contains Roach, Rudd, Tench, Gudgeon, etc. Sea fishing is also close by, with the coast only three miles away. For race goers, Redcar Racecourse offers all the fun of a friendly day out at the races. A timetable of events will be available. Also close by is the world’s oldest lifeboat which is in the RNLI Museum in Redcar, and Saltburn, a beautiful Victorian coastal town featuring the oldest working water balance lift in Great Britain. You do require transport to get to the chalets as they are ‘off the beaten track’ albeit taxis are available on request. Should you require any further information, please contact Grewgrass Lodge.
